In 2017, Mind Over Matter Records invited me to record songs for their limited singles series (much like the old Sub Pop singles club from the 80s). I'd never written holiday songs before so we decided to do that. It was more challenging than I thought it would be, since I'm not one to celebrate the holidays on my own. I sat down at my desk and wrote several songs, each of them sounding far more like Halloween songs than I'd intended. (My preferred holiday manifesting apparently). Eventually through rewrites and revisions, I came up with something and began recording in my home studio. Two years later, the record is available and looks stunning. Mind Over Matter did a fantastic job. Sneak a little non-religious cheer into your next holiday playlist.
